Q: What are the general policies and guidelines that set the direction of TOMRA's CR and sustainability initiatives?

Q: Who has responsibility for CR and sustainability issues in TOMRA?
A: Oversight: The Corporate Responsibility Committee of TOMRA's Board of Directors, chaired by board member Hege Marie Norheim. CR Policy and Investor Relations: CFO Espen Gundersen, TOMRA Systems ASA. CR Reporting: CR & Compliance Officer Jayne Giæver, TOMRA Systems ASA. Quality management: QA Manager Agnar Aars, TOMRA Systems ASA. Operational responsibility: managing directors of majority-owned operational units.

Q: Is TOMRA certified to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001?
A: TOMRA's certified quality and environment management system applies to the company's operations in Norway (head office functions, R&D and manufacturing units). 100% of TOMRA's R&D and in-house manufacturing units within the collection equipment business segment is certified to ISO 9001:2008 (since 1994) and ISO 14001:2004 (since 1999).

Q: Is TOMRA a signatory to UN Global Compact or other similar charters?
A: Yes, TOMRA joined the UN Global Compact in 2009. 

Q: Which SRI indices and ratings is TOMRA included in?
A: While TOMRA is listed on many of the most important SRI indices and funds, no complete list is maintained and updated. TOMRA has been or is a member of DJSI Stoxx, DJSI World, Ethibel, Natur Aktie-Index (NAX), Portfolio 21, FTSE4Good, Storebrand ‘Best in Class’ index, Kempen/SNS SRI Index, Nordic Sustainability Index and many others. TOMRA has  also been designated as being one of the world's 100 most sustainable organizations by the Global 100 project (global100.org) in 2012.
